ECW on Sci-Fi

New Kayla Sparks Video!

Posted in Fantasy Draft on November 30th, 2006

Kayla’s one of the bright spots on the indy scene, and I’m 100% sure she’ll be in a WWE promotion in the next five years. She’s got a new video of a match she wrestled this summer on YouTube, and if you want to catch her live she post her schedule at the world’s most adorable website.

Her next show’s for Star’s & Stripes Championship Wrestling on February 10th, in Clifton N.J. so I may go to check it out.

And while I’m there I could see this guy, who’s now on the Roster for S.S.C.W., though why he’s not in ECW I don’t know.

Enjoy the show:

“Is Sci-Fi Even A Channel?”

Posted in Also on Sci-Fi on November 26th, 2006

Since most visitors here have typed in search phrases like “Barbie Blank Nude” or “Shelly Martinez Nude” I don’t feel too bad about the scarce postings pertaining to the Sci-Fi Channel on my blog which is ironically called ECW ON SCI-FI. I do constantly search for something interesting to write about that would reference something other then the one hour of wrestling, which itself has really not produced much that is blog-worthy, but aside from Battlestar Galatica (worst show ever) and X-Files marathons I’m not sure what they do over there.

Granted, they show severely edited horror movies every October, and run a 196 hour Twilight Zone marathon every time the gals in the typing pool wear matching shoes, which is kinda interesting. But how do you cobble together interesting blog posts about how the original Nightstalker series, shown in the daytime, is better then the god awful ABC series that got canceled recently, which Sci-Fi shows at night.

You can’t. I saw this clip on YouTube, between the “sexy” dancing pre-teens and the Jihadist propaganda videos. It sums up my views of Sci-Fi nicely.

Trinity Exposed! (As A Great Wrestler)

You wouldn’t know it from her meek appearances for ECW but Trinity is one of the best wrestlers in the company. ECW’s reading from the same tired bikini contest playbook WWE issues to all its bookers, and ignoring the possibilities of reinvigorating women’s wrestling by pushing the talented wrestlers like Trinity and Mickie James.

I mention Mickie because while perusing YouTube, the lazy blogger’s content super site, I came across two vids of Trinity wrestling Mickie james in TNA. Mickie was then known as Alexis Laree, and Trinity was playing a character who worked for a company that respected her. The first is grainy, but its a great mixed tag featuring Kid Kash, Trinity and Mickie mix it up around 4:15. The second’s better quality, and Mike Tenay (the world’s worst announcer) will get you old school fans all nostalgic with his talk of Brian Lee, Perry Saturn and pre-face lift Sandman. There’s also a special guest appearance by an ECW icon.

And yes, Tenay and his partner say the exact same thing about Laree And Trinity having “similar bodies but different styles” in both matches. Tenay likes to leave the dance with who brought him.

These two aren’t hard on the eyes either. Enjoy.

Finally Someone Speaking For Me!

The Ren Fest always sounds like a good idea, until you get to one. It’s like every person you’ve ever not wanted to be seen with displaying the reasons you wouldn’t want to be seen with them, and charging you money to see it.

The only place you’ll meet a bigger loser then a Ren Fest is a 7-11 parking lot at about 3:00am. But at least that gut was in a band. You know who you are.

Anyway, this guy feels about the same, except he’s a little too upset at the lack of “authenticity”, as if a little historical authenticity would change the fact that the average Ren Fest is just a gathering place for college dropouts and the Starbuck’s baristas that love them. Enjoy:

I promise to put some wrestling (or breasts) up tomorrow.

Oh Lordi, that’s good stuff!
