Layla El poses for her FHM Online photo shoot

FHM Online has released the second set of photos from the Extreme Exposé photo shoot, and this time the focus is 2006 Diva Search winner Layla El. The gallery of 10 pics went live today on the “Girls of FHM” section of FHMonline.com, and follows last week’s spread of Brooke Adams photos.

The FHMonline feature on Layla includes a short interview where she comments on her Extreme Exposé partners, the 2006 Diva Search, her desire to get into the ring more, and how The Miz isn’t really the type of guy she digs. Layla also shares the story of how the other divas initiated her into the WWE:

My first appearance as a WWE Diva was at SummerSlam 2006. I was walking into the locker room and Trish [Stratus] and the other Divas pushed me into the shower, got me wet and spanked me!

You can check out all of the photos from Layla’s exclusive shoot at FHMonline.com.

The final installment in the Extreme Exposé photo series featuring Kelly Kelly will be published on Friday, September 7, 2007 on FHMonline.com.

Posted in Women of ECW on August 31st, 2007

Barbie Blank, Layla El, and Brooke Adams aren’t all business all the time. The Extreme Expose trio find plenty of time for goofing around when they’re not trotting around arm in arm with The Miz as ECW’s Kelly, Layla, and Brooke. Just check out these candid photos Barbie Blank uploaded to her MySpace album today:

Do Barbie and Brooke know what that gesture represents?

Feel free to come up with your own dirty old man joke about how their hats are the only thing that’s floppy.

All three divas have mentioned in interviews that they have a great off-screen relationship, and these great candid photos seem to support that assertion. Add Barbie Blank as your MySpace friend to check out the rest of her photo album.

11 WWE Wrestlers Suspended Over Wellness Policy Violations; List Includes John Morrison

Posted in The Show, W.W.E. on August 30th, 2007

SteroidsSuspension notices have been issued to 10 wrestling superstars who violated the much publicized WWE Wellness Policy. In an official WWE statement, it was announced that the unnamed wrestlers were being suspended due to “independent information received from investigators from the Albany County, NY D.A.’s office.” A link to the statement was prominently featured on the front page of WWE.com

The suspended wrestlers have been notified by the WWE that their names will be made public on November 1, 2007. Many wrestling blogs and forums are abuzz with speculation about the identities of the suspended wrestlers, but the Daily News claims to have the info:

In a list obtained exclusively by the Daily News, top wrestlers Randy Orton, Charles Haas, Jr., Adam “Edge” Copeland, Robert “Booker T” Huffman, Shane Helms, Mike Bucci, Anthony Carelli, John “Johnny Nitro” Hennigan, Darren “William Regal” Matthews, Ken “Mr. Kennedy” Anderson and Chavo Guerrero were all identified as clients of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando, the site raided by Albany County and Florida law enforcement agencies in February for distributing steroids and other prescription drugs to clients who had not been examined by doctors. The investigation is part of a probe into illegal Internet drug distribution by Albany D.A. David Soares.

Here’s the list of 11 names in a more readable format:

Randy Orton
Charles Haas, Jr.
Adam “Edge” Copeland
Robert “Booker T” Huffman
Shane Helms
Mike Bucci
Anthony Carelli
John “Johnny Nitro” Hennigan aka John Morrison
Darren “William Regal” Matthews
Ken “Mr. Kennedy” Anderson
Chavo Guerrero

An ESPN article added 3 more names to the list of those under investigation as clients of Signature Pharmacy:

Shoichi Funaki
Dave Bautista (Batista)
Chris “Masters” Mordetsky

Although the WWE has suspended 10 superstars, there are a total of 14 names cited by the Daily News and ESPN. At this point, it is not known which wrestler may have escaped suspension. However, it should become clear based on which wrestlers are conspicuously absent from WWE tapings in the coming weeks.

If major players in current storylines, such as John Morrison and Mr.Kennedy, are among those suspended, the WWE writers will have to scramble to revamp the plot direction. We will keep you updated as this story unfolds.

Update, 8/31/07, 1:30 am EST: Sports Illustrated has the details on exactly what substances many of the wrestlers received and when they were obtained. ECW champ John Morrison (real name, John Hennigan) appears to be one of the more serious offenders, having received a virtual formulary’s worth of performance-enhancing drugs between June 2006 and February 2007. Somatropin, anastrozole, testosterone, stanozolol and chorionic gonadotropin are among the drugs known to have been spoprescribed to Morrison.

In addition to the other living wrestlers named by the Daily News and ESPN, the Sports Illustrated article indicates that Umaga is involved.

Update, 9/1/07: The total number of suspended WWE wrestlers now stands at 11, according to a Newsday report.  Ten performers have been suspended for 30 days and one for 60 days, indicating it was likely a second violation.  Without giving away too many spoilers, results from live tapings suggest that John Morrison and Chavo Guerrero are among the suspended wrestlers.
