This Thanksgiving, John Morrison Thankful for His Abs; CM Punk Thankful for Vegans

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, WWE.com published a feature about what the superstars have to be thankful for this year. Here’s what the ECW wrestlers and divas had to say (with my favorite quotes in bold):
John Morrison:
I’m thankful for my abs, without which no cheese would be grated on the Thanksgiving pasta.
Kelly Kelly:
I’m thankful for my family. I’m grateful for what God has given me and my wonderful family and a great job. I couldn’t ask for anything better in my life right now. I’m also grateful for the fans; without them I wouldn’t have a job.
Shelton Benjamin:
I’m thankful for the fact that I am the greatest athlete that ever walked the face of Earth. I’m thankful for the fact that there is no man, woman or child, past, present or future, who comes close to the athletic excellence that Shelton Benjamin has displayed in only five years of wrestling in WWE.
The Miz:
The Miz is grateful for a lot of things, but the most thing is, the fact of the matter is that I still have gorgeous chicks all around me. The Miz is not only a chick magnet, but a gold magnet now, because he also is a WWE Tag Team Champion. I’m going to rent a limo on Thanksgiving and every girl who is normally sad around the holidays because their men aren’t there, I’m going to be there for them.
Tommy Dreamer:
I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful I’m still wrestling after all these years, and I’m thankful for all the fans supporting the wrestling industry as a whole right now.
CM Punk:
I’m thankful for chocolate. I’m thankful for vegetarians and vegans because that leaves more turkey for me. I’m thankful for catering because they hook it up every week at WWE TV. I’m thankful for my ECW title and the countless challengers that step up to the plate. I’m thankful for my little sisters and my best friend. And I’m thankful for the legions of WWE fans. And I’m thankful for pro wrestling as a whole because I just love it.
Elijah Burke:
Number one, I’m thankful for my life, my health and my strength. I’m thankful to be blessed with such a gift that I can shine my light upon others and lead them to a better place in their life. And above all, I’m thankful for my mother and my family and to be part of such a great organization as WWE.
Matt Striker:
Striker’s quote is much like his promos, long and boring, so I won’t reprint it here - if you really need to see it, check out WWE.com.

The End of Wrestling’s Worst Kept Secret
Chris “we’ll just have to wait and see what happens” Jericho and the WWE put an end to their ridiculous charade tonight on Raw with the much anticipated “second coming” of Y2J. “The sexy beast is back, baby, ” Jericho told a cheering and chanting arena. “Welcome to Raw … is … Jericho!”
While I don’t think we’ll see too many extreme moves from this ECW alum, there’s no doubt that he is a true master of in-ring showmanship. He immediately laid the groundwork for a feud with transitional champ Randy Orton by making fun of his “monotonous, robotic Randy Orton voice.” The audience went nuts. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen that kind of excitement in a WWE crowd - hopefully Jericho’s return will rejuvenate the brand.
Jericho is also a master of self-promotion and marketing. I’m betting he’ll see a nice boost in the sales of his book, A Lion’s Tale, in the coming weeks. And just in time for the holidays!
Good to have you back, Jericho.

Dawn Marie and The Sandman

ECW alums Dawn Marie and The Sandman were hanging out at Big Apple Con which took place at Penn Plaza Pavilion in NYC this past weekend. Dawn Marie has been trying to get back into shape for her return to wrestling - I don’t know how close she is to her goal, but she looks fantastic. She has more pics of the convention on her MySpace profile.
The event was headlined by Heroes leading ladies Hayden Panettiere and Kristen Bell, and Val Kilmer reportedly put in an appearance as well. Also in attendance were Gigi Edgley (Chiana from Farscape) and a large assortment of sci-fi and comic fan favorites.

Sci-Fi Starlet Saturday: Jolene Blalock

Jolene Blalock earned her place as today’s Saturday Sci-Fi Starlet for her best known role as the Vulcan subcommander T’pol on Star Trek: Enterprise. Yep, the cold-blooded, pointy-eared Vulcan from Enterprise was played by the hot chick pictured above and below.
Jolene Blalock has also appeared on Stargate SG-1 as a guest star. Her most recent film was the horror flick Shadow Puppets, co-starring Tony Todd (Candyman) and James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Next up, Jolene Blalock will star opposite Casper Van Dien in Starship Troopers: Marauder, currently in post-production.

Jolene Blalock has been quoted as saying, “Everything I do, I do with reckless abandon.” Sounds good to me.
The former Vulcan and self-professed trekkie has posed in both FHM and Maxim, pretty much a right of passage for any sci-fi starlet worth her salt. She has ranked several times in the “sexiest women” lists published by Maxim, FHM, and Stuff. You can check out more Jolene Blalock pics and info at:

Old School Thursday: A Double Dose of Stevie Richards
ECW faithful will remember Richards best for his hilarious parodies of popular wrestlers (who didn’t love the Baron Von Stevie?) and the formation with The Blue Meanie and Nova of the Blue World Order. Richards was not just a lovable goof, but a solid performer who could hit a super kick, re-dubbed by him a Stevie kick, from any angle.
Michael Manna, the man behind “dancing” Stevie Richards, suffered some debilitating injuries and has dwelt at mid card status since the end of ECW, but at one time he was considered the Shawn Michaels of the independent circuit. Here’s Stevie at his finest, playing the second banana heel to Raven in his legendary feud with Tommy Dreamer:
Three Stevie kicks and each one as good as anything HBK throws around these days on Raw. But what post about Stevie Richards would be complete without him, along with Meanie and Nova, in what may have been their finest hour:
What, you wanted to see the match too? Do you know how hard it is to find people willing to risk getting sued by the WWE and upload this stuff. Be grateful you got to see this.
Visit Stevieland to catch up with all things Stevie related.
Update: All right, I’ll give you a chaser. This is his finest hour
