Trinity in New Indiana Jones Flick & Horror Film

Posted in ECW Alumni on May 22nd, 2008

Stephanie Finochio aka Trinity stars in Knock Knock

ECW and TNA alum Stephanie Finochio (better known as Trinity) is enjoying continued success as a professional stuntwoman and actress. Her stunt work in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is the most recent addition to her stunt resume, which also includes The Bourne Ultimatum, War of the Worlds, Spider Man 2, and Dare Devil.

According to her resume, Stephanie served as stunt coordinator for the unrated slasher flick Knock Knock, available now on DVD. As if that’s not enough, she also stars in the film which was released by Lionsgate last month. We’ve said it before: Stephanie Finochio is a true Renaissance woman.

Check out a few more recent pics of Stephanie:

Chance are she puts your biceps to shame. Excuse me … I have to go do a few hundred curls.

Brisbane Times Interviews Kelly Kelly

Posted in WWE divas, Women of ECW on May 19th, 2008

Kelly Kelly (Barbie Blank) showing her fans some love

To promote the WWE tour of Australia coming up in June, ECW diva Kelly Kelly answered some questions for an interview that ran in the Brisbane Times this weekend.

By the way, this is definitely a Kelly Kelly interview, not a Barbie Blank shoot. Kayfabe is in full force as Kelly Kelly recalls her “boyfriend” Mike Knox and how she formed Extreme Expose with Brooke and Layla.

I almost didn’t mention the Brisbane Times piece because, well, it really doesn’t reveal anything earth shattering (or even earth hiccuping), but if you’re a Kelly Kelly fan go ahead and take a look. For everyone else, let me nutshell it for you: she left her college broadcast journalism program to become a diva, she loves wrestling, they’re all a big family, she was nervous when she started out, she trains hard and travels a lot.

I told you not to expect anything big.

Old School Thursday: Sandman vs Raven Barbed Wire Match

Posted in ECW Alumni, The Show on May 15th, 2008

Two of the icons of hardcore in the most hardcore match imaginable. Raven and Sandman take it to the extreme in this amazing match from the late 90s:

Part I

Part II

I’m not sure what Sandman’s up to, but Raven is opening a wrestling school which you can learn more about on his site or his MySpace.

ECW Alumni Roundup: Amy Dumas, Tammy Sytch, Dawn Marie, RVD, and Shelly Martinez

Amy Dumas, formerly known as Lita, is heading out on tour again with her band The Luchagors. They’ll be hitting venues across the United States and in the United Kingdom. Check out The Luchagors on MySpace to see if they’re performing in your city.

Tammy Sytch will be the special guest ring announcer at an annual charity boxing event that honors three police officers who died in the line of duty. Tammy will be giving out free autographs and photos. The event takes place at 7:00pm on Saturday, May 17th at the Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City, NJ.

It’s $20 for general admission and $40 nabs you a floor seat. The Jersey City POB has more info. Call them at (201) 963-3484.

Dawn Marie Psaltis is seeking charitable donations for her sister-in-law Carrie Deussing who suffers from a chronic neurological syndrome called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. Dawn Marie is trying to help Carrie raise money to pay for a ketamine treatment that is not available in the United States.

Rob Van Dam’s 32-year-old wife Sonya is fighting colon cancer. After undergoing laparoscopic surgery to remove the tumor early this month, she is looking at six months of chemotherapy.

Of course we hope that her recovery will be as painless as possible, but if she hits any bumps in the road, at least we know RVD knows where to score the hippie lettuce. RVD still has his sense of humor intact: check him out in a YouTube original with The Ultimate Warrior.

Shelly Martinez is still working on her Renaissance Woman credentials when she’s not hamming it up in her sombrero as Salinas on TNA iMPACT! She was on the roster at the Championship Comedy event Tuesday at Hollywood Improv, performing with Bruce Jingles. The duo were pitted against champions Cory and Chad, who forfeited to Jingles and Martinez.

In other Shelly Martinez news, the former ECW diva has a new MySpace page. Her old MySpace account is no longer valid, so update your bookmarks and be sure to add her new MySpace profile as a “friend.”

We’ll be spending the next several days updating the dozens of links to Shelly’s old MySpace page from EoS, so please bear with us if old posts show up in your feed reader again.

Old School Thursday: Extreme WWF Action

Posted in Fantasy Draft, The Show on May 8th, 2008

The current ECW roster could learn a thing or two from studying this vintage promo image of a little known WWF wrestler delivering his signature move: the steel chair shot to the head.

I may have to nominate this guy to be my next ECW fantasy draft pick. Anyone with me?
