Another Saturday, another sexy sci-fi starlet. This week we’re dipping into the Flash Gordon well once more to bring you the goods on Karen Cliche.

Karen Cliche plays the role of Baylin, a badass bounty hunter in The Sci-Fi Channel’s revival of the Flash Gordon franchise. Flash Gordon premiered yesterday and is pulling in less than stellar reviews, but Karen’s performance may turn out to be the show’s saving grace. Karen “radiates chemistry with even the props,” raves the Boston Herald.

Like her Flash Gordon costar, fellow Canadian Gina Holden, Karen is no stranger to sci-fi television acting. You may recognize her from her roles as Lexa Pierce in Mutant-X and Essie Rachimova in the Canadian series Vampire High. Karen is also well known for her work on Young Blades where she played the female musketeer Jaqueline.
