ECW on Sci-Fi

Old School Thursday: Sandman vs Tajiri for the ECW Television Title

Posted in The Show on September 17th, 2009

The first couple of minutes are Sandman’s legendary entrance so sit back and enjoy it or go get a soda. Several tables are broken, which is how hardcore is supposed to be and there’s run ins by Steve Corino, Jack Victory and Rhyno. You’re welcome.

What’s Raven Been Up To?

Raven is responsible for helping the ECW achieve the cult status it has today with his unique brand of hardcore wrestling and his darker, yet more realistic, portrayal of a heel that was both heat producing and three dimensional. A star in ECW, WCW, WWE and most recently TNA Raven is an overlooked and under-appreciated legend in the wrestling business.

He’s working the indy circuit now, and found time to appear in two movies. The Juggalo cult movie Death Racers and the soon to be released Sleeper:

You can ask him about his new movie if you’re in Atlanta on September 4th or 7thwhile he’s making appearances at premier nerd rave DragonCon, and catch him in the ring courtesy Vanguard Championship Wrestling September 5thin Hampton Road, VA when he’ll be defending the VCW Heavyweight Title against Larry Zybszko who apparently has been raised from the dead by a necromancer who loved wrestling in the 80s. Sounds fun. Go for the brain Raven! It’s the only way to stop him!

The rest of Raven’s schedule can be found on his site The Raven Effect, which I urge all wrestling fans to check out.

E.O.S. Re-Boot (Plus Shelly Martinez Dancing Nude!)

Posted in The Show on August 12th, 2009

Like all of you the E.C.W. “brand” of the WWE left me dead inside. So numb was I from the horror Vince McMahon had wrought on the cult phenomenon that I could not bring myself to look at the blog I started as tribute to the once mighty wrestling company and their partnership with what was one of the best cable channels out there, but is now a barely watchable nerdgasm that offers little out side of the occasional Friday the 13th The Series or Special Unit 2 marathons.

But in this era of “hope and change” how can we allow ourselves to dwell in disappointment? If the WWE and the Sci-Fi, oh sorry the SyFy channel won’t give us the entertainment we want it is time to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and make it ourselves. So this is the E.O.S. re-boot where I promise you all the sex and violence of the original ECW, as well as some alumni updates and a continuation of our popular Sci-Fi Starlet Saturday series featuring the beautiful and scantily clad women who throw off their clothes and often their dignity to star in such delightfully awful fare as Frankenfish or She-Wolves of the Wasteland.

We are actively looking for any indy promotions, models or indy sci-fi/horror productions that wants to promote and will be exposing readers to a whole new experience in hardcore wrestling/fandom. As always, we’ll be doing it without the CPU taxing pop-ups and spy ware that other wrestling sites trade in.

So sit back, relax and enjoy as we kick off the re-boot with a video of Shelly Martinez stripping totally nude while dancing, courtesy Halloween-Barbie.net, which will likely be taken off YouTube in T-minus 3 and counting. Watch it quick!

Tazz Blasts ECW

Posted in ECW Alumni, The Show on May 8th, 2009

Tazz is on Facebook

Just a few weeks after his retirement from WWE, and Tazz is talking smack about Vince McMahon’s revival of ECW:

I hate it. To compare what I held to that MONSTROUS HUNK OF SILVER they have is comical….but hey, at least its consistent what everything else in comparing the original ECW to WWE version of ECW…..there is NO comparison at all. Just change the name to anything but ECW and it will be a pretty cool 60mins. But at times, I guess some must attempt to re-write history in in their own eyes.

Hard to argue with that.  This little outpouring of honesty comes courtesy of his Facebook page where Tazz (or Taz with one “z” as he now prefers to be known) has been answering fan questions.

Old School Thursday: Unholy Alliance vs Kid Kash and Super Crazy

Posted in ECW Alumni, The Show on May 8th, 2009

Well it’s technically Friday but since I roll my lazy blogging ass out of bed sometime in the early afternoon it still feels like Thursday to me. Regardless I’m bringing you the good stuff with this match up which has the Unholy Alliance taking on  Supercrazy and Kid Kash at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Classic fin de sicele ECW that reminds you of how much talent the WWE skipped over when they restarted ECW and turned it into the Smackdown waiting room. Part II has one of the best table spots in history at around 7:01
