I don’t want to be one of those wrestling bloggers who talks about how ugly some woman is on his CPU-crashing spyware repository that steals  all its stories from that douchebag Dave Meltzer(you know who you are) and I’ll go on record as saying Angelina Love aka Angel Williams is one of the sexiest women in wrestling and one of the most talented.  BUT…

Look, I hear Williams dated a rock star so maybe she’s living fast, and Velvet Sky aka Talia Madison, pretty much looks like she’s still in high school but I feel more than a little creeped out sometimes watching The Beautiful people grind into each other while “Cute Kip” looks on like some second rate porn actor. Every picture of The Beautiful People looks like a porn thumbnail titled something like Couple Catches Babysitter Stealing and Gets Hard Punishment or Teen Breaks MILF’s Window and Works Off Debt. If there were such things I mean. Personally I wouldn’t know, I’m simply doing what all wrestling bloggers do and getting my information from Dave Meltzer.

But seriously, if you can look at this picture without feeling a little uncomfortable you’re probably a pervert:

Again don’t get me wrong, Angelina Love is hot by any standard, and unlike many of the WWE Divas she’s clearly an athlete who puts work into her body and doesn’t just purge her way into a bikini (I say referencing no one in particular.) And I’m not saying she looks old (more like distinguished) because everyone who stands next to the near-pubescent Velvet Sky has ten years added to them on camera.  But, if they are the same ages (27) as the uber-trustworthy Wikipedia seems to claim, then Angelina may want to hang garlic around her neck because Velvet Sky is a youth sucking vampire. Either that or Love ’s “27″ is around 36.

Hey, I like The Beautiful People and I like the whole weird porny gimmick. As a commentary on the pornification of women’s wrestling (using more talented wrestlers than the WWE has) I think The Beautiful People is marvelously pretentious, an attack on the very fans who have driven women’s wrestling into the sorry shape it finds itself in with their preference for faux-Playmate style over athletic substance while sneaking in some great matches from some of the most underrated wrestlers in the business.

And if they’re ever released they can hit Cinemax where along with Kip they can make a series of soft-core “erotic thrillers” entitled either The Babysitter Diaries or Sex School Mentors where an older more experienced Love shows Velvet Sky how to seduce (and murder!) meat-headed body builders. I mean, isn’t that pretty much their act now?

Less than a year after Shelly Martinez made her TNA debut at Bound for Glory, her character Salinas is being laid to rest.

During the No Surrender pay-per-view on Sunday, it was announced by Mike Tenay that Salinas had been taken to the hospital after being attacked by Jacqueline in the women’s bathroom. That was reportedly the end of the Salinas character, and unsurprisingly, her profile has already been deleted from TNAwrestling.com.

So, what’s the deal? On Sunday Shelly wrote on her MySpace blog that she was set to begin filming an”Italian inspired thriller” today. Rumor has it that she was willing to turn down the film role if TNA agreed to increase her compensation. TNA declined to raise the junior Knockout’s pay, and the rest is history. Here’s what Shelly had to say on her blog:

Anywho, this blog is about choices. Starting tomorrow I will be begin to film an Italian inspired thriller. I had rehearsal yesterday and my costar and I have great chemistry together so it will be grand!! YAY!! I am working on having my camera guy shoot some behind the scene for my new site!! Yes, I am disappointed to lose something important to me for this role but at the same time change, scary change, always seems to lead to bigger and better things. Looks like The Baltimore Sun’s Kevin Eck was spot on. Reports are surfacing that Knockout Gail Kim has indeed parted ways with TNA and will be heading to WWE.

Gail reportedly met with WWE talent relations exec John Laurinaitis on Thursday afternoon, and is on the verge of signing with the company. Rumors suggest that Gail’s decision to jump ship from TNA was financially motivated, and that she is leaving TNA on good terms.

While Gail has not yet addressed her career move on her MySpace page, she upgraded her “mood” from “sad” to “optimistic” today.

Gail Kim’s final TNA match will air on Spike TV tonight.

Has knockout and former champ Gail Kim moved on from TNA? Gail Kim’s profile and photos were quietly deleted from the official TNA site on Wednesday in a move that surprised wrasslin’ fans. The wrestling media is speculating that Gail’s TNA contract is up and she’s moving on, but no details have been confirmed.

Gail wrote a short MySpace blog post on Tuesday, just a day before disappearing from the TNA site, but her friendly, chatty post gave no indication of a pending release from TNA. She mentioned she’s been busy with appearances and hyped the incorporation of her “sister” Katie Kim into the storyline.

(Just as an aside: poor Katie Kim. If Gail is really gone from TNA, this may finish Katie’s career before it even gets started.)

So what does this news mean for Gail Kim’s career? The Baltimore Sun’s Kevin Eck thinks Gail could be returning to WWE, a move that could certainly help WWE solidify their women’s division. With the recent house cleaning WWE has done, there’s room on the roster for another diva. TNA’s loss just might be WWE’s gain.

Let’s just hope that if Gail returns to WWE, she gets to put her wrestling skills to use. The last thing we need is Gail Kim in a resurrection of Extreme Exposé!
