TNA iMPACT! has really been stepping up to the plate lately. I dig the two-hour format, the intimate camera work, and the way the crowd pops almost like old school ECW.

And now there’s another great reason to watch iMPACT!:

Tonight on the TNA Final Resolution pay-per-view, the “mystery member” of LAX was finally revealed when Shelly Martinez tore the cover from her face after hitting Hoyt below the belt. Hardly a shocker, but it’ll be nice to see more of Shelly again.

Watch for her to feud with Christy Hemme - I know I’ll be tuning in on Thursday.

Former ECW diva and Vertical Smiles girl Brooke Adams may be on track to become a TNA knockout. Rumor has it that Brooke has publicly stated that she will be working for TNA soon. (Hat tip: WrestlingRevealed.com, one of the only other wrestling blogs worth reading unless you dig popups, spyware, and malware.)

Perhaps a coincidence, but Brooke recently deleted her profile on MySpace where she used the nickname “therealwwebrookeadams.” Is she just making a clean break from the WWE, or are we about to see a new MySpace account for TNA knockout Brooke Adams?

By the way, a new MySpace account that supposedly belongs to Brooke has surfaced, but her sister hasn’t added her as a friend yet, so I’m a little suspicious of the authenticity of the profile. The rumor about Brooke joining TNA may have started on that MySpace profile, so take it with the usual grain of salt.

The powers-that-be at TNA have shown some serious business savvy lately by snatching up former WWE superstars. If Brooke is among them, she’ll be in good company with former ECW diva Shelly Martinez, who is currently building up momemtum as the mysterious new member of LAX.

Brooke Adams is also reportedly looking to pose for Playboy, an aspiration she has mentioned before.

What’s Shelly Martinez been up to lately?

None of your goddamn business, that’s what.

In all seriousness, by now you’ve probably heard that since wrapping up work on The Search for the Next Elvira and her fetish film for Jewel De’Nyle, Shelly has reportedly been hanging out at ringside during LAX matches in TNA. I say “reportedly” because she’s only appeared in disguise so far, but once she sheds the costume, rumor has it Shelly Martinez will be managing LAX.

Shelly is also sporting a TNA Knockouts banner on her MySpace profile.

If you haven’t caught TNA IMPACT! lately, it’s definitely worth checking out their Women’s Division matches. Hopefully TNA will make better use of Shelly Martinez than the WWE did.

It’s a good month to be Shelly Martinez.

In addition to working on her fetish film for Jewel De’Nyle’s new production company, Shelly will appear on the reality series “The Search for the Next Elvira” and she will participate in Bound for Glory, TNA’s biggest pay-per-view event of the year.

As a participant in the Bound for Glory pay-per-view scheduled for Sunday, October 14th, Shelly will appear in a gauntlet match culminating in the crowning of TNA’s first ever Women’s Champion. The match will pit TNA knockouts Ms. Brooks, Gail Kim, Jackie Moore, Roxxi Laveaux and Christy Hemme against a group of women not currently signed to the company. In addition to Shelly Martinez, the match will include ODB, Talia Madison, Angel Williams, and The Amazing Kong.

We’re thrilled to finally see Shelly getting back into the ring for an actual wrestling match. As we’ve mentioned before, the WWE never tapped into Shelly’s full potential - maybe TNA will allow us to see what Shelly Martinez is made of.
