MySpace: It’s not just for perverts anymore

And you thought MySpace was just a site your “funny” uncle surfed when his wife was out. Well much to the surprise of many of us it isn’t only teenagers (and the men who stalk them) posting profiles on the worlds largest on-line social network, but also savvy entrepreneurs who have been able to tap huge markets by creating an account and buddying up with thousands of new “friends” on-line.

Following the success of Tila Tequila, entertainers of all stripes have started using social networking sites to promote themselves, from bands and models to wrestlers. The good folks at Obsessed with Wrestling have a page of wrestlers’ MySpace pages, but beware, a good number of celebrity pages are put up by lonely, bitter impostors. Of course, figuring that out is half the fun.

For my money, the best MySpace page is this guy’s:

Kristina Laum had a MySpace page which disappeared just prior to our posting of In Praise of Kristina Laum, forcing us to use her Friendster page, which would have been our number one pick just on principle, but lucky for Meanie we’re concentrating on MySpace this post.

And while Meanie has the best MySpace page by a Pro-Wrestler, there’s still only one top dog on myspace. Hail to the Queen:
