Shelly Martinez has adopted a serene new outlook regarding the run in with Batista that led to her release in May 2007. She posted this statement on her MySpace blog today:

I know a lot of you guys and gals have showed your support for me and I appreciate it. However, there is no need to continue to slam Batista on my page. I don’t know if you noticed but I took down the pic of me flipping him off. I’ve moved on from the anger and took it all as a learning experience so lets all let it go.

For anyone who hasn’t “let it go,” here’s a link to Shelly giving Batista the one fingered salute. Just in the interest of posterity, of course.

Moving on from her anger is probably the most galling thing Shelly Martinez could possibly do to Batista at this point, other than having continued success with her new TNA gig. She gets the peace of mind that comes with moving on and she comes off looking like the bigger person. Well played, Shelly, well played.

In the wise words of Oscar Wilde, “Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much.”
