The sadly awkward “Alpha Male” once known as Monty Brown in TNA now renamed by Vince McMahon as Marquis Cor Von, treated ECW viewers to one of his trademark rambling, stilted in ring promos. According to SEScoops, the name change was Vince’s idea, because he wanted to trademark the character. As for why the border line racist Marquis Cor Von was chosen over, say Grand Orator or Chief Jay Long Wind, we hear the name was made up by FireDogLake klanner Jane Hamsher. She and Vince share a certain sensibility
