ECW on Sci-Fi

Up in smoke

The fate of all stoners is to have whatever fleeting success they’ve attained destroyed by bad decisions and trusting the wrong people. At least that’s the point viewers of the 2 day public service announcement produced by the WWE were supposed to pick up on.

Following the “wild antics” of an aging (and not gracefully) DX on Monday Night Raw, Rob Van Dam lost his WWE title to Edge, then dropped his ECW title to a hardily booed Big Show the very next night on the Sci-Fi Channel.

It was no coincidence that R.V.D.’s fortunes changed after he and Sabu were busted for drug possession a few days ago.

Rumor is that R.V.D. got jobbed so the WWE could hand him a suspension, while Sabu will likely get handed a pink slip.

WWE probably won’t fire R.V.D. though, as they won’t want him showing up on the competition’s roster.

But at least the kids will learn an important lesson: It’s perfectly acceptable to pretend you’re high to sell tee-shirts, as long as you don’t actually get high in real life.

As for Rob losing both his championships, R.V.D. fans are expected to be outraged sometime late this afternoon.
