One face you’ll likely not see in ECW is the legendary Kristina Laum, known to ECW fans as Kimona Wanalaya. Fans of ECW, tired of the generic actress/fitness models hyped in the bigger leagues were smitten with the charismatic exotic dancer when she first burst onto the scene. Kristina took part in some of the most memorable matches in ECW, and it can be argued helped create the legend of ECW. Her wrestling career never took off unfortunately, despite stints in WCW and the ill-fated XWF. Brian Stevens over at Obsessed with Wrestling has a great synopsis of her career, and why she definitely won’t be back in ECW here. Fans lament that Kristina seemed to disappear, leaving them with a hole in their hardcore hearts, but fear not! True Kristina fans can still catch up with her at her very own Friendster web page.

Update: Generic blonde diva attempts Kimona like dance bit on very first eposode. Kelly, who has yet to be listed on the ECW roster, did what could be considered an homage to the original which frankly fell flat (though she certainly didn’t). Pics will indeed follow, but for now let’s just say,interesting? Kinda’ . Extreme? Not so much.
