Sci-Fi Starlet Saturday: Debbie Rochon

Today’s sci-fi starlet is one of the most talented, most prolific, most beloved scream queens of all time, none other than Debbie Rochon. Debbie Rochon got her first acting gig as a homeless teenager in Vancouver, and now has more than one hundred indy, low-budget, and direct-to-video horror credits to her name.
Her films include the lesbian sci-fi sex comedy Play-Mate of the Apes, Dr. Horror’s Erotic House of Idiots written by Brinke Stevens, Marilyn Chambers’ Sextrospective, and of course, numerous Troma Films productions, including Tromeo and Juliet and Terror Firmer. In an interview with Racks and Razors, Debbie stated that her favorite roles were in Nowhere Man, Death Defying Acts, and American Nightmare.
Although she is best known as an actress, conquering the B movie scene wasn’t enough for Debbie Rochon. For more than a year she has hosted Fangoria Radio on Sirius (Fridays, 10pm EST) alongside cohost Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame. Snider told Fangoria Magazine, “Debbie impressed me in the first few moments we spoke as being someone who had something to say and was more than just a pretty face, a great rack and a good scream.” Debbie Rochon is also a coproducer of the show, and spends long hours securing talent and scheduling programming.
Debbie Rochon has also done quite a bit of writing - in addition to articles for The Joe Bob Report, Femme Fatales, and other industry mags, she has coauthored two books: The B-Movie Survival Guide and Attack of the B Queens. Not bad for a homeless kid from Canada.
Okay, I know - you want to know where you can see, ahem, more of Debbie Rochon. Well look no further:
